Lead designer and concrete maker Isaac Tucker has over 10 years experience in luxury concrete creations, previously working for 5 years with Kayode Concrete before embarking on his own projects for clients.

He says, “I have made all kinds of polished concrete items, from my trademark kitchen countertops, through to whole kitchen installations, wet rooms, fireplace hearths, window sills, splash backs and even concrete bathtubs to outdoor furniture, pizza ovens and BBQs.”

2015 is proving a great year so far as our job “Roman Road Extension project” has been shortlisted into the finals of the 2015 RIBA AWARDS, in which I was

commissioned to do all the concrete work and consult with Studio Gil Architects on how to make the complicated designs a reality.

U-shaped kitchen with undermounted sink

For this project, the house in Hackney, East London, had been totally renovated including a large glass extension and the client wanted a kitchen which fitted the style and size of the space. We poured a U-shaped counter top, including a sunken 1 1/2 bowl sink and lacquered it to a high shine. You can read all about Kay’s renovation on her blog – here’s the bits about the kitchen.

Isaac designed and built our concrete counter top 4 years ago, and has since been back to resurface it. He is an absolute pleasure to work with, very creative and will do his best to accommodate client’s requests. We love our counter top – it’s not as perfect as a composite finish such as Corian, but the blemishes make it feel full of personality and warmth.”¬†
